hadababy-it'sagirl! remember that commercial?

JORDAN CLAIRE has arrived!!
She was born on December 18th at 1:32 pm, weighing 9 pounds 1.5 ounces and was 21 inches long. We are over the moon in love with her. Delivery was difficult, but we survived. Jordan had some breathing issues and had to be transferred from MRMC to the WIH NICU at 4 days old. She was in the NICU until Christmas Day, she was 7 days old when she finally got released.

that's all for now. the little pork-etta is hungry!!

Oh Jordy.....

GET OUT!

I love you very much and am very anxious to meet you, so GET OUT! Back to the Dr tomorrow, and I'm hoping that we'll get a date for you to be evicted if you refuse to cooperate. Don't take this the wrong way girly-girl, but Mumma is tired and needs to not be pregnant for a bit. I've been a good host, kept you safe and (extremely well) fed, now it's time to be a good guest and know when to leave. Shortly after you get here, you'll get to meet Cooper, won't that be exciting?! You'll get to meet everyone, they're all waiting to see you too.

It's Christmas time too, so you'll get a visit from Santa (I know, you have no clue who he is...you will in a few years though) that includes gifts under the tree. You'll wear a cute red dress with a sweater that Grammy made for you...and SHOES!! Yep, you've even got shoes that you can wear, how sweet is that?! You already seem so much like me that I know you're excited about the shoes. Shoes.are.awesome!

C'mon Jordy-belle. We love you and are waiting to meet you, so hurry it up.
love, Mumma

it's only taken me a month to post again

Had our "38 week" appointment today... no change from last week.

We're ready for her to be here. We've got everything we need for her. The list of wants is minimal, mostly books and a few toys she wouldn't be able to use until she was older anyway. Her room is basically done, only a few things left to put away. Now we just need her.

I'm getting antsy. I want to see her. I want to see how Nick & Coop react when she cries. I want to know if she's going to be the kind of baby that cries constantly and has colic or if she's the baby that barely makes a sound and only slightly whimpers when she really needs attention. I want to know what color eyes she has. I've been thinking she'll have "light" eyes (maybe hazel) for as long as I can remember, and now I'm itching to know if she really does.

I even put up Christmas decorations today since it'll be easier to get them up before she arrives. The tree is NOT up. It WILL NOT be up until the middle of the month. Cooper did so well with the tree last year, I hope he does again this year. The poor dog, we even wrapped treats and toys to try and make him find his presents... we failed. He barely nudged his gifts and just waited until we opened them for him. I really hope I can get a good picture of Cooper & Jordy under the tree. Just another to add to the list of "must take" pictures. The poor kid doesn't know what she's in for, to bad Cooper won't be able to warn her!
