randomness

that's got to be the best way to describe this blog. It started as a way to prepare for Jordy and have a record to show her someday of what life was like shortly before and after she arrived.

I fail at blogging. I've accepted it. It is in realizing my failure that I have decided that I don't care and will just make it a point to post when I can and instead of having a point to my posts it'll be about whatever.

and with that.......................

We have new neighbors. They annoy me and taunt my dog with theirs. I CANNOT wait to get out of here.

I'm switching Coops dog food - I'm going to give him a healthier food. I've wanted to do this for a very long time. The deciding factor however, was when I found Cooper & Jordan both eating from Coopers dish.

I love when Jordy wakes up for the day. She's always so happy and hugs and kisses me when I take her out of the crib. MAKES.MY.DAY!

About 2 - 2 1/2 weeks ago, I brought Jordan into the pool with my aunt and Olivia. Olivia learned to blow bubbles. Jordan has tried every day since whenever she's in the tub (on the side of the tub, getting closer & closer to the water) and she finally worked up the courage to try under/in the water. She was soooo proud of herself when she did it! It was super cute.

until next time....

so...... we signed a purchase & sales agreement...

Hoops, hoops and more hoops!

Of course the bank is going to look out for itself, I understand that. HOWEVER I hate that they're putting unrealistic expectations on us in order for them to sell the house.

7 calendar days to get all inspections done
-can't get inspections done until water is turned on
-can't get water turned on until the bill is paid
-bank won't pay the bill until closing
-there's a holiday during these 7 calendar days

In other news....
Jordan is 6 months (and 1 week) old. She's growing bigger everyday! At her appointment she weighed 18 pounds 12.25 oz and was 27.25 inches long. Jordy is desperate to learn to crawl and stand - she practices everyday and even pulls herself to a stand on the table and her exersaucer!

and I leave you with Jordan crawling to and pouring out Cooper's water dish, and trying to figure out why we had looked at that blue house again, and a Cooper picture, because, well, just because I love him!

cereal. rice cereal.

I'm feeding the monster baby cereal, and she's in heaven! She loves her cereal and eats so much! I cannot believe how much she eats already. First it's cereal, then an ounce or 2 of formula and she's a happy camper - ready to play...usually dress up lately to find out what clothes still fit her.

Catch up time... opthamolgist visit

Hey, this was actually today (umm... yesterday, but I haven't slept yet, so it feels like today)!
Jordan went to the ophthalmologist today. Dr. Tien was great, and we liked him. She did need the cyst to be probed, but now there's no more cyst at all. Completely gone! It's amazing to us to see how big a difference it is.

Before: it's the bluish swollen thing just under her right eye

After:

Catch up time -ER and observation

Thursday the 22nd, Jordan ran a little temp and threw up so we called the pedi. We were sent to Hasbro and ended up staying until Saturday afternoon. The ER portion of our trip was horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. They tried 3 times to get spinal fluid from Jordan...3 times!! Yes I said tried, because she didn't give it up - take that docs who think they know everything!
Jordan got out of her ID bracelets (her glow worm wore it), and even took out her own IV catheter. That's our girl!
Bottom line, she doesn't have meningitis and we got to come home. We are so happy to be home!

catch up time... Jordan's 1 month -January 18th

Jordan's 1 month old! January 18th

She's doing so much every day. She's smiling now, standing as much as she can, looking around and taking everything in, and making all sorts of sounds now - it's amazing what a difference a day or 2 makes! At her 1 month well she was 22 inches long and weighed 10 pounds 13 ounces - way to grow monster baby, way.to.grow!
